THE DANCE SLIPPER

General Information

Hello and welcome to The Dance Slipper. Our goal is to give each student a positive and enjoyable learning experience. To help insure that this happens, we ask that you read and understand the following information.

ALL CLASSES BEGIN THE WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 12th 2011. Registration and class placement begins on Monday, August 15th. Registration prior to class start is held Monday through Wednesday from 5 to 8 pm.There is a registration fee of $15.00 for each student.

Tuition

Tuition is due the first week of the month. There will be a late fee charge on all accounts not paid by the 15th of each month. For each returned check, there will be a $30.00 service charge. After the second returned check all tuition fees must be paid in cash.

Classes are $36.00 per month for one class a week with a discount for three or more classes for a family. This price includes the costume for the recital. If a student drops out of class, they will be responsible for the remainder of the costume payments. There will be no refunds on costumes.

There are 32 weeks of scheduled class. Tuition payment is based on 31 weeks of classes, allowing one week for snow days and cancellations. There are no make-up classes and no refunds on missed classes.

Attendance

All students are expected to keep good attendance records. Students who are repeatedly absent, will be asked to attend more regularly or, be dropped from the class. Improper and sporadic attendance creates a difficult learning atmosphere for all parties involved.

Bulletin Board

There is a bulletin board located in the waiting room of the studio. All notices for upcoming events and dates are posted there. Please check the bulletin board on a regular basis to ensure you are aware of any information involving your child.

Pictures

Every year pictures are taken for the recital. All students are to be present. The date will be posted on the website and bulletin board around march. Pictures are usually taken sometime in April. There will be an additional day following picture day when you can come to the studio and view the photos. Parents may purchase photos at that time.

Recital Tickets

The recital and rehearsal will be held at Suffield High School in Suffield, CT. There will be a full dress rehearsal on Saturday, June 2nd.  This means that all students should be in full costume with the appropriate makeup, hair, and shoes. The recital will be held on Sunday, June 3rd at 11am and 3pm sharp (dates may change). The actual schedule for each show will be posted prior to ticket sales. Some of the students may be performing in both shows, if this should happen you will be given one free ticket for the second show.
